Welcome to the world of UOBCC
We cover all types of riding, with a core contingent of Road and Cross-Country riders, as well as a large number of specialists in Downhill, Track, Street and Cyclo-Cross.
Below is a summary of each ride discipline. To find out more, simply follow the links to your selected choice.
Road - We run club rides to cater for every focus of road cycling, from structured social rides to epic charity rides to circuit races and hill climbs. For more info, click here.
XC - Bristol is home to a burgeoning XC scene, and it's easy to see why. Whether you're after a zippy cruise around flowing singletrack or a thrill ride down the steeps, it's all just a quick ride across the river; these include Ashton Court, Leigh Woods, Fifty Acre Forest, and Failand Wood, as well as multiple trips throughout the year to some of the best trail centres in the UK. For more info, click here.
Track - We regularly visit Newport Velodrome and hire the track out for focused coaching sessions. These are open to all levels, with groups of beginners, intermediates and advanced riders split and coached accordingly. The main track race of the year for us is BUCS in May. We aim to target the team events for BUCS points. For more info, click here.
Downhill - DH uplift trips run around 3-4 times a year, with additional day trips where everyone just jumps in a car and heads off to ride some dirt. We've visited the Forest of Dean, Triscombe, Antur Stiniog, Revolution bike park, Moelfre, Caersws and Rheola. For more info, click here.
UOBCC really does have something for everyone. For more discipline specific info, contact the discipline representative on our committee.
